About Thrive
Thrive is a small independent learning studio created to give children the time, attention and appropriate challenge they need to achieve their best.
Learning is personal. Children bring different strengths, experiences and ways of thinking, so teaching should be responsive to the child in front of us. At Thrive, strong academic foundations sit alongside confidence, curiosity and the skills children need to become increasingly independent learners.
Over time, it has also become a place where parents seek professional insight and guidance around their child's learning. This has shaped the studio as it is today: supporting children directly while also helping families gain greater confidence around their education.
Meet Laura
Laura is a UK-qualified teacher, education consultant and former school leader with more than 20 years of experience in education.
Her experience spans classroom teaching, educational leadership, curriculum development and international school development. Today, she brings that experience together at Thrive, working directly with children while supporting parents and schools.
What she values most is having the time to really understand a child: how they think, what they already understand, where foundations may need strengthening and when they are ready for greater challenge.
Laura values authentic relationships and purposeful collaboration, believing that shared reflection strengthens every learner’s experience. She continues to evolve alongside education itself, keeping her practice thoughtful, informed and responsive to the changing needs of children, families and communities.
